Pulnyx Privacy Policy

Operator: Innovanyx, Inc., a Georgia (USA) corporation (“Innovanyx,” “we,” “us”). Pulnyx is our fitness, nutrition, and wellness app (“the app”).

This policy explains what information Pulnyx collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It covers the app and any related websites and support channels.

The short version

• We collect only what the features you use actually need.

• Your health and fitness data is used to run Pulnyx's features for you — including AI-powered coaching if you subscribe to Premium — and for nothing else.

• We never sell your data, and we never use your health or fitness data for advertising.

• The free version of Pulnyx is supported by ads. Premium subscribers and Remove-Ads purchasers see no ads at all.

• Connecting Health Connect is entirely optional and opt-in. You can disconnect it, export your data, or delete your account and data at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Email address, password (stored only in securely hashed form by our authentication provider), and the profile details you enter: name, date of birth, height, weight, unit preferences, country/locale, fitness goals, dietary preferences, and allergies you choose to record.

Information you log in the app. Food and nutrition logs, recipes and saved meals, workouts and exercises, body measurements, fasting sessions, and similar entries you create.

Health Connect data (Android, optional and opt-in). Pulnyx never reads health data from your phone unless you choose to connect Health Connect and grant permission. Every permission is opt-in: you decide which data types to allow, you can grant or deny each one individually, and denying a permission only turns off the features that need it. If you connect, we request only the following types:

Read — activity: steps · distance · speed · floors climbed · elevation gained · active calories burned

Read — heart and vitals: heart rate · resting heart rate · heart rate variability · blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) · respiratory rate · VO₂max

Read — body composition: weight · height · body fat · lean body mass · bone mass · body water mass · basal metabolic rate (BMR)

Read — sleep and hydration: sleep · hydration (fluid intake)

Write (so your Pulnyx entries appear in Health Connect too): weight · body fat · nutrition · exercise sessions · heart rate · active calories burned

You can review or revoke any or all of these permissions at any time in your phone's Health Connect settings, and revoking takes effect immediately for future syncing. For heart rate, we store only summary values (such as your resting rate and workout averages), never a continuous raw stream.

Device and technical information. Device type, operating system version, app version, crash and diagnostic logs, and basic usage information needed to keep the app working, secure, and improving. We do not collect precise location.

Advertising data (free version only). If you use the free version, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects certain device information to deliver and measure ads — such as your device's advertising ID, general (city-level) location derived from your IP address, and basic ad-interaction data. This is described further in section 3. No advertising data is collected for Premium subscribers or Remove-Ads purchasers, because they see no ads.

Subscription information. If you subscribe to Premium, your purchase is processed by Google Play. We receive subscription status (for example: active, expired) through our subscription-management provider — we never see or store your card number.

2. How we use your information

• To run the app's features: tracking, logging, progress charts, goal calculations, and syncing with Health Connect when you've connected it.

• AI features (Premium): if you subscribe to Premium, your logged data — such as food logs, workouts, measurements, and connected health metrics — is processed by our AI systems to generate personalized coaching, meal guidance, and insights. This creates derived information (trends, recommendations, scores). AI processing exists to serve features you see in the app; it is never used for advertising or sold to anyone.

• To show ads in the free version, as described in section 3.

• To provide support, send service notices, and fix problems.

• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.

• To meet legal obligations.

3. Advertising

The free version of Pulnyx is supported by advertising — that's what lets us offer a genuinely useful free tier. Premium subscribers and Remove-Ads purchasers never see ads.

Who serves the ads. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob. When an ad is shown, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP-derived general location, and ad-interaction data (such as views and clicks) to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure performance, and prevent fraud, as described in Google's own privacy policy.

What we never allow. We never use your health or fitness data to target ads. Ads are never targeted using your health conditions, connected Health Connect data, wearable data, or any sensitive personal attributes, and we never build advertising interest profiles from your logs. At most, an ad may be matched to the general context of the screen you're on (for example, a food-related ad near food search results) and your country or language.

Where ads never appear. Ads never interrupt you while you're logging food, workouts, or measurements, and never appear during onboarding or account settings.

Your choices. You can remove ads entirely by subscribing to Premium or purchasing the Remove-Ads option. You can also limit personalized advertising in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID). Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads.

4. What we never do with your data

• We do not sell your personal information, to anyone, for any purpose.

• We do not use your health or fitness data for advertising of any kind.

• We do not share health or fitness data with data brokers, or use it for credit, insurance, employment, or lending decisions.

• Data obtained through Health Connect is used only to provide the features described in this policy, consistent with Google's Health Connect permissions policy. It is never used for advertising and never shared with our advertising partner.

5. Who we share information with

Only with service providers who help us run Pulnyx, under contracts that restrict what they can do with it:

• Hosting, database, and login: our cloud infrastructure provider stores your data in the United States.

• Billing: Google Play processes payments; our subscription-management provider tracks subscription status.

• Advertising (free version only): Google AdMob delivers ads and receives only the advertising data described in section 3 — never your health, fitness, or logged data.

• AI processing (Premium): AI service providers process the data described in section 2 to generate your coaching and insights, and may not use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy's protections follow the data).

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our database enforces row-level access rules, meaning your records are technically accessible only to your own account. We use access controls, secrets management, logging, and secure development practices, and we review our security posture regularly.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our production systems, and removed from encrypted backups on their normal expiration cycle. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account, or by submitting a deletion request on our website at pulnyx.com. Disconnecting Health Connect stops all future syncing immediately; you can also ask us to delete previously synced health data.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also opt out of Health Connect syncing at any time (by revoking permissions or disconnecting) and limit personalized ads as described in section 3. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below — we will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. If we deny a request, you may appeal where the law provides for it.

9. Children

Pulnyx is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Health disclaimer

Pulnyx is a fitness, nutrition, and wellness tool. It does not provide medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified professional for medical questions, and never rely on the app in situations where failure could cause harm.

11. International users

Pulnyx is operated from the United States and your information is stored there. If you use the app from elsewhere, you consent to this transfer; where the law requires additional safeguards for international transfers, we apply them.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes — especially to how we handle health data — we'll notify you in the app and, where required, ask for renewed consent before the change applies to you.
